Playster: An Honest Review | Haak Blog

For the past month, I have been testing the trial version of an all-in-one multimedia subscription service called Playster. Playster provides users with unlimited access to an extensive library of books, movies, music, games and even audiobooks. Each membership allows for the creation of multiple user accounts and there are no other restrictions.

Playster: An Honest Review

To view the content, you will need a web browser or the Playster app, which is available for iOS and Android devices, as well as a fast Internet connection because it is a streaming service after all.

For $24.95 a month, you can sign up for the Playster bundle, which will give you access to all media types. You can also choose to sign up for each media type individually. For $9.95 you can get the books and audiobooks subscription or the music subscription, while the game subscription and movie subscription are just $4.95 and $3.95, respectively. If you are still not convinced, you can try their service for 30 days completely free!

Playster also offers a Combo Box, which includes a branded tablet and headphones, and you can get this for free if you subscribe for 12 months. However, you will have to pay a minimal shipping cost of $9.95.

Once you sign up, you must not forget to unsubscribe in case you decide that it’s not right for you. But don’t worry: You can cancel your membership online or via phone support at any time.

Playster allows members to seamlessly switch between media types and stream content to their heart’s content. There are many popular audiobooks to choose from, like Escape Clause, Razor Girl, Killing the Rising Sun and Downfall. You can also enjoy titles from plenty of different genres, including mystery, business, health and fitness, religion, and kids.

The greatest advantage of this service is that you can download the content for offline streaming. There’s also a cool unique feature that will give you music, book and movie suggestions based on your mood. What’s more, you can take advantage of their many playlists or create your own and share them with friends and family on Twitter or Facebook.

Playster’s extensive educational library was especially impressive and will allow you to learn multiple languages, such as Italian, Spanish, Chinese and French. You can even find the Bible in many languages. Moreover, the service is compatible with iOS, Android, Windows PCs and Macs.

Other Playster Reviews from Trustpilot:

Kirsty - Now a reader!
“I was tempted by Playster's ads, mainly the unlimited audio books, because I have been trying to find ways to read books faster. It is great to have so many audio books close to hand for a flat fee (which is lower than anywhere else, from what I can tell). It's good in the car, while I am cooking, and increasingly just while I am relaxing on an evening. Probably "reading" 2 or 3 books a well now. Yey!”

Jen - Wide range of books and music
“I am impressed with the amount of content on the Playster website. It would be good if you could mix and match the packages - currently you can only take one or all. But this has potential as an entertainment provider, especially in a family/home context.”

Shelley J. - Customer support attentive and professional
“I hope Alicia gets the recognition she deserves! She was attentive to my needs and concerns and a great example of good customer support!”

Morgan - Forgot to cancel but they refunded anyway
“I appreciate what they did - I signed up for one ebook, read it, and then let things roll when I meant to cancel the trial. All it took was a message to their support and they refunded it without any fuss. It looks cool but I wouldn't use it enough.”
